The Native American and Alaska Native Children in School (NAM) Project Directors meeting, sponsored by the Office of English Acquisition (OELA), was held December 9 – 10, 2013, at the Residence Inn Washington DC/Capitol in Washington, DC. The event brought together twenty-four grantees (Award Years 2011 and 2013) to participate in sessions about the following: multiculturalism, standards based instruction, annual performance reports, data collection, grant management, professional development for those working with Native American students, family engagement, and strategies and resources for supporting NAM priorities. It also provided an opportunity for grantees to meet and interact with their counterparts from all over the country.
