The annual National Professional Development (NPD) Project Directors Meeting, sponsored by the Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA), was held October 5-6, 2016, in Arlington, VA. The meeting included panel discussions on dual language programming, equity and access for ELs, family engagement, the implications of ESSA for EL education, and NPD grant updates, as well as peer-to-peer conversations on specific professional development areas.
