The U.S. Department of Education, Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA), held the 2016 Native American and Alaska Native Children in School (NAM) Project Directors Meeting in Arlington, VA, October 6-7, 2016, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels--Washington, DC/Crystal City. This meeting was held in conjunction with OELA's National Professional Development (NPD) Program, Project Directors meeting. The meeting included sessions on revitalizing Native languages, implementing dual language programs, and engaging families, as well as opportunities to hear about NAM grant updates.
