In preparation for the LEP Partnership meeting on October 15-16, 2008, NCELA is sponsoring two webinars for State Directors of Title III and State Directors of Title I.

The interactive webinar on the federal Title III program is meant to provide an orientation to fundamental Title III program concepts and requirements for State Directors of Title I who may not have worked with Title III programs in the past. Richard L. Smith, Acting Assistant Deputy Secretary, Office of English Language Acquisition at the US Department of Education, will facilitate the webinar and Millicent Bentley-Memon, Ph.D. and Samuel Lopez, Ph.D from the Title III program will provide an overview of Title III and answer questions about its requirements and implementation.
